Committment

She asked for a breakthrough
I showed her the way

I asked for a partner
She gave me her hand

She asked for a miracle
I prayed with her

I asked for honesty
She gave me her word

She asked for compassion
I learned to listen

I asked her to show me
She painted the picture

She asked for stability
I showed her consistency

I asked for a believer
She stood behind me

We asked for love
And gave eachother our hearts

you know i never pay attention to the title until after i read the poem, cause your titles are always so interesting, when i started to read the poem, i predicted there would be a point of disappointment, BUT there wasnt. the name goes perfectly with the poem. i love it.

& This is exactly what It SHOULD be!! I love that both are givers & both are "receivers"! Alot of times, men have problems asking for what they want & a woman naggs cuz she's desperately trying to find out! When people aren't afraid of commitment, when they understand what it is, when they take on the responsibility...they realize it truely takes two, in every way shape and form!
